Moms
In Law.
The community for attorneys raising families: partners, associates, in-house counsel, solo practitioners, and the ones figuring out re-entry after years out. The conversations that don’t fit anywhere else, with the people who get it.

The practice has to fit the life.
Moms In Law started because there was no good place to ask the questions: How do you come back from leave without losing your trajectory? How do you negotiate flex from a senior associate seat? How do you build a tech-law practice around school pickup? How do you tell your firm you’re leaving early on Tuesdays: and mean it?
The bar association programming is too thin. The career-coach industry is too generic. The Big Law mentorship channels are too risky for the actual conversations. So we built the community we needed: small, confidential, cross-practice, peer-led, with senior attorneys showing up because they remember.
Whatever “the practice” looks like for you: partner track, in-house, solo, fractional, on leave, planning re-entry: it has to leave room for the kids you came home to. We help each other figure out how.
What membership actually gets you.
Quarterly cohort circles
Small, confidential cohorts of 8–10 attorney moms: same career stage, mixed practice areas. Six structured sessions per quarter on the things that don't fit anywhere else.
Practice-design support
How to build a tech-law practice around school pickup. How to structure flex from a senior associate seat. How to negotiate your re-entry. We work it through together.
Career navigation
Maternity leave that doesn't kill your trajectory. Re-entry after years out. The lateral move with a 4-year-old at home. Real conversations with people who've done it.
Member-only events
Monthly virtual gatherings, an annual in-person retreat, and quiet office hours when you need a sounding board on a hard week.
Mentorship matching
Senior attorney moms paired with associates and counsel-track members. No corporate mentorship-program theater. Real relationships.
Resource library
Templates, scripts, and frameworks for the conversations that always come up: the leave conversation, the partner-track conversation, the ‘I need to leave by 5’ conversation.
Three operating principles. No corporate theater.
The practice has to fit the life.
Not the other way around. Whatever ‘the practice’ looks like for you: partner track, in-house counsel, solo practice, fractional GC: it has to leave room for the kids you came home to.
No performative balance.
We don’t do the ‘here’s how I have it all together’ routine. Hard weeks happen. Career setbacks happen. The point is the people who get it.
Every member is also a resource.
The community works because attorneys at every stage show up with their experience, their network, and their honest takes. You’re not just here to receive. You’re here to give back, too.
Questions members ask before joining.
Practicing attorneys who are also mothers: at any career stage. Big-firm associates and partners, in-house counsel, solo practitioners, fractional GCs, and attorneys on extended leave or planning re-entry. Open to attorneys with children of any age.
